I have decided that actually learning how to draw would help. Since flowers and plants are one of the main subjects for Chinese Brush painting I chose to begin with them. I am currently working on tutorials from this website http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/family/how-to-draw-flowers-and-plants.htm. Here is what I've done so far. They are just quick sketches to get back into to art with no real expectation of drawing anything good. It's not great but it's a start.
